Hi, We tried to do a test deployment yesterday to get more familiar with how to deploy the system for the future. Hello @OASimen, thanks for your question. To debug more the red System LED on the Spotter, it would help to look at the contents of the SD card in the Spotter. Causes of red system LED can include some of : - low battery - SD card issues - error initializing sensors (barometer, …) - error initializing visibility LED - Spotter is not charging battery out of safety because the system temperature is higher than a safety threshold Some of the above are non-issues. We are working to adjust the conditions under which the System LED turns red, so to not raise unnecessary concern. If you are comfortable sharing files on the forum, you could attach the \*\_ERR.log files from the Spotter here to start. If you are on a Unixy system like Mac or Linux, you can run something like this in a terminal window where the SD card files are located: `grep -H -e ERR -e WARN *_ERR.log` This will show lines in those log files which are errors or warnings. ---

- The battery was fully charged about an hour before we went out - The SD card at least reads fine when connecting it to a computer - error initializing some sensors could be the issue, though I do not see it in the error log - the visibility LED is blinking - Spotter was not charging when we tried to deploy, although there was not a lot of sun (we are in Norway, and it is February so there is not a lot of sun) ---

I read the [Sofar documentation](https://sofarocean.notion.site/Cellular-Support-Documentation-0fd67a99122b43c89563c57340ed165f) and I just want to confirm that Norway is counted as being part of the EU for the purposes of the SIM card aboard it just asking because we were not far from the nearest base station for LTE there there is also 5G coverage, but it might not be at the full 5 bars depending on which carrier is chosen ---

Hi @HendrikJvR Just to catch up other folks on the forum – we discussed this through other channels. The cellular modem can fill up if there is no signal. The way to clear it is to issue the following command over the Spotter’s USB serial terminal: `note restore` That will also reboot the Spotter, if I recall correctly. If the Spotter has a cellular signal but you are still seeing this message, it _might_ mean that your Bristlemouth code is sending too much data too fast. In that case, we should discuss: - the frequency at which your code is transmitting data, and consider throttling or batching the data - the size of the payloads being transmitted Thanks! ---

Hi Tim. It seems we did not have sufficient cell reception inside our building, which is strange since we do have repeaters. Took it outside this morning and it had cell signal within 1 minute. Thanks!
