Firmware v0.4.0 Released

Hey folks! Today we released v0.4.0 of the bm_protocol firmware repo. Full details and changelog here:

For one thing, we’ve greatly improved the usability of sensor sampling and statistics aggregation. You no longer need to manage any tricky mutexes or heap allocation just to gather data from a sensor. If you have no idea what that means, then this update is for you!

Additionally, we’ve cleaned up some initialization of power rails and chips on the I2C bus. This was especially necessary on BMDK boards with version “AD”.

Finally, I’m psyched to welcome our first open source contribution! Thanks much to Jeff Weiss on github — I hope to see you here on the forum soon.

Happy hacking everyone!
