Anyone want to test their technology on an oceanographic mooring?

Ahoy! The Synchro Ocean Technology Testbed is looking for developers that are ready to test Bristlemouth enabled sensors in the field. We’ll have a mooring (with Spotter + Bristlemouth connectors) going out off Point Ano Nuevo for a year deployment this fall. This buoy already supports temperature and salinity from RBR, chlorophyll fluorescence from Wetlabs, shark tag receiver from Innovasea, dissolved oxgyen optode from Aanderra, and a custom CO2 sensor.

We’re interested in supporting the development of imagery, acoustic, and biogeochemical sensors with our platform. We are definitely in NEED of a new pH probe.

If you’re interested, please reach out to me and we’ll see what we can work out. And if this fall doesn’t work for you; we’re rotating out these moorings annually so every year presents new opportunities.

Hello @tsunami_papi,

If you are looking to integrate imagery into your system, I recommend checking out @NickRaymomd’s posts (as of recent this one).

Sofar also offers a Hydrophone you can check out here! If interested I am able to help provide instruction on how to integrate it into your buoy.

Good luck!

Thanks! We just deployed the Borealis hydrophone yesterday! We spoke with Nick last week to see about doing some testing next year.
